Sunflower seeds oil extraction without hulling.
For small sunflower oil production line with daily output less than 20T/D, in order to save cost, the seeds can be put into the press with shells. However, the oil yield of sunflower seeds without hulling will be lower, and the crude oil obtained will be darker in colour and with more impurities. Sunflower seed crude oil is filtered through plate and frame filter, and then sent to small edible oil refining machine for refining, which can get the final edible sunflower seed oil. Of course, the small production line can also add shelling section, we can design according to your project requirements.
Sunflower oil extraction after hulling
For industrial scale edible oil plants with a daily production capacity of more than 20 tonnes, we recommend that the sunflower seeds be shelled and then pressed, as this will maximise the oil yield and crude oil quality, and will facilitate subsequent processing, which is advantageous for the whole project. The main processes in a full-scale sunflower oil processing plant are hulling, pre-pressing, solvent extraction, oil refining and oil filling. (Extraction of oil after hulling reduces the wax content in the final oil.)
