However, the oil yield is lower, and the price of edible oil produced by pressing is higher than that produced by solvent extraction.

Pressed corn oil is also called corn germ oil because only the corn germ in the corn kernel contains oil that can be used for oil extraction. Therefore, if you want to produce pressed corn oil, you first need to make sure that the raw material for pressing is corn germ. Corn kernels cannot be pressed to produce oil, the corn germ needs to be extracted before pressing.
