Corn cannot be extracted oil, only the corn germ contains oil, and if your raw material is corn, then you need to separate the germ from the corn, which is a bigger investment.
Corn germ is special, because it is difficult to control its moisture content and temperature, so you need a softening pot to control the moisture and temperature in a certain range. If the moisture content is high, the cake meal of corn germ will be too thick, if the moisture content is too low, the cake meal will be too dry to be molded, and both states are not suitable for oil extraction, and the efficiency of oil extraction is very low.
The oil extraction equipment includes: pre-press, screw press, hydraulic press, flat rotary extractor, loop extractor, drag chain extractor, etc. Different oil seeds have different oil content and are suitable for different oil presses. Some materials with high content can be used in a way that requires a combination of physical pressing and chemical extraction to maximize the benefits.
Sunflower seeds and peanuts with high oil content can be first pressed with pre-press to get physical pressing oil, and the cake meal with high residual oil can be extracted by chemical leaching, which can minimize the residual oil, and is suitable for large-scale oil presses.
